TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) – Former Florida State University President Stanley Marshall has passed away at the age of 91.The James Madison Institute confirms that Marshall passed away Sunday at his home in Tallahassee’s Westminster Oaks retirement community.  He had suffered from illnesses in recent years.Marshall served as President of Florida State University from 1969 to 1976.  His tenure inspired him to write the memoir “The Tumultuous Sixties: Campus Unrest and Student Life at a Southern University.”  The book was published in 2006.http://www.mysuncoast.com/news/state/former-fsu-president-stanley-marshall-dies-at/article_e95c52a5-21d7-591a-81ab-e4edcb8ac61f.html
