The gathering included a lecture about how Florida sets an example in fiscal responsibility. Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater issued a state proclamation recognizing Thrift Week. The discussion also included how to bring more businesses to the state.Bob McClure speaking: The state of Florida has done a tremendous job of returning the tax dollars to you and me, the taxpayers, of the great state of Florida. That’s our view of thrift.
