This is not the end… The injustice that occurred on Sunday night when the deeply unpopular monstrosity of a bill, complete with well-documented briberies, kick-backs and special favors, passed the House of Representatives will not stand. Again this is not the end…Rather this is the end of the beginning. The American people will not be thwarted in their overwhelming opposition to a government takeover of roughly 18 percent of our economy. They will not stand for the loss of freedom that could occur as a result of this bill…and they will not stand for bureaucrats in Washington making their healthcare decisions for them while at the same time bankrupting the country.Less than 48 hours after the vote, those of us who believe in liberty are already mobilizing on numerous fronts across the country, and we will not be denied. Thomas Paine writing in 1776, a far darker time in our nation’s history when the fledging Republic literally hung in the balance, reminds us that “The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country, but he that stands by it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value.”This is only the beginning.
