JMI Adds New Development Director

Tallahassee- Today, The James Madison Institute added a new staff member to our team. Austin Moser is now the Director of Development at JMI.

In his role, Austin is responsible for developing relationships with existing and prospective supporters by sharing JMI’s accomplishments in advancing innovative free-market policies. Austin joins us after spending nearly a decade working in membership and fundraising. He seeks to find what truly drives donors to give and share the impact their gifts have made.

Previously, Austin worked with the Florida Dental Association Foundation as the Coordinator of Foundation Affairs, where he organized all fundraising activities and planned an annual two-day dental clinic treating 2,000 people.  Prior to that he was with Florida State University working for the Alumni Association and Career Center—focusing on student programming, events, and fundraising.

A two-time graduate of Troy University (AL), Austin has a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Hospitality, Sport, and Tourism Management with a focus on development and marketing. While attending Troy University, Austin worked as a graduate assistant in the Athletics Department assisting with student marketing, ticket sales, development, marketing, and game operations.

Austin and his wife Celia reside in Tallahassee and spend much of their time with their two rescue dogs. When not spreading the good work of JMI, Austin can be found on one of Tallahassee’s many outdoor trails, volunteering in the community, or enjoying a good meal with friends and family.
