Sal Nuzzo

SENIOR FELLOW

REQUEST SPEAKER REQUEST INTERVIEW

Sal Nuzzo serves as Senior Vice President for The James Madison Institute. In this role he oversees JMI’s policy operation, coalition building, and strategy deployment across the country.

Sal has spent 25 years in the policy arena, attempting to get lawmakers of all stripes to listen to the wisdom of free market capitalism, property rights, and the rule of law. Most times it’s about as successful as you would imagine. But occasionally he breaks through.

In conjunction with his work at JMI, Sal was appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis to serve on Florida’s Government Efficiency Task Force, by Agency for Health Care Administration Secretary Simone Marstiller to the State Health Care Policy Advisory Council, and by the American Legislative Exchange Council to serve as Chair of the Communications and Technology Task Force. He also serves as the Florida lead for Grover Norquist’s Americans for Tax Reform state coalitions.

His writing has been featured in publications like The Wall Street Journal, National Review, The Hill, Newsweek, and he also serves as a member of several policy work groups that advise Congressional and White House leaders (both Republican and Democrat), which has caused only minor hypertension.

Despite this, he is a hopeful optimist.
