ABOUT COOKE: Charles C.W. Cooke emigrated to the United States in 2011 and is currently a "temporary Florida man." He is a staff writer at National Review, a co-host of the Mad Dogs and Englishmen podcast, and the author of "The Conservatarian Manifesto." He is a graduate of the University of Oxford, at which he studied modern history and politics. His work has focused on Anglo-American history, British liberty, free speech, the Second Amendment and American exceptionalism.
