“James Madison Institute adds new Orlando, Tallahassee centers”
March 4, 2015
By Cindy BarthThe James Madison Institute is adding two policy centers that will expand its presence in Central and southwest Florida. The Orlando-based Coalition for Property Rights, established in 2001, now will be incorporated under the institute as the Center for Property Rights. Dan Peterson, the coalition’s former executive director, will become director of the center. In addition, the new Center for Economic Prosperity will be housed within the James Madison Institute’s Tallahassee headquarters. Sal Nuzzo, recently hired as director of policy, will head the new center.Don Orrico also has been added as the southwest Florida development director and will be based in Naples.”Population growth combined with Florida’s consistent high ranking on economic freedom indices provides ideal timing for the launch of these key policy centers. As new residents are added daily, Florida will face new challenges and increased pressure on the state’s budget and natural resources,” said Bob McClure, president and CEO of the James Madison Institute.Article: http://www.bizjournals.com/orlando/morning_call/2015/03/james-madison-institute-adds-new-orlando.html
