2019 Stanley Marshall Day Luncheon
January 23 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
The James Madison Institute will celebrate Dr. J. Stanley Marshall Day at The Columns, JMI’s headquarters in Tallahassee, on Wednesday, January 23. It will be a lunchtime event, with check-in at 12:00 pm and the program going from 12:15 pm-1:30 pm. Lunch will be provided.
This event will be part of National School Choice Week, one week set aside every January to come together to raise awareness of all types of education options and promote non-partisan educational opportunity. Dr. Marshall was a fierce advocate of school choice, so in his honor we will be awarding the third-annual J. Stanley Marshall Award to an “Education Innovator,” as part of the J. Stanley Marshall Center for Educational Options. A short program about the current state and future direction of educational choice in Florida will be included.
Our keynote speaker will be the Education Commissioner of Florida, Richard Corcoran. House Education Chairwoman Jennifer Sullivan and Senate Education Chairman Manny Diaz will also be making remarks.
