Dr. Falaschetti serves the US House of Representatives as Chief Economist for the Committee on Financial Services, where he advises prominent members of Congress and leads talented policy teams to achieve legislative priorities, including the most consequential Federal Reserve reforms since the 1970s and a fundamental restructuring of financial regulation.

Previously, Dr. Falaschetti served the President’s Council of Economic Advisers, where he advised Chairmen Ben Bernanke and Edward Lazear on issues involving finance, economic development, and retirement security, delivered a policy address from the White House podium, and edited speeches for the President and cabinet members.

As a litigation consultant, Dr. Falaschetti delivered expert testimony on headline issues at the intersection of corporate governance, accounting, and finance. As an executive decision-maker, he strengthened investor relations and bottom line performance. His career started by quickly rising from Fortune 100 intern to C-Suite accountability for currency and interest rate hedges, business valuations, and a $1 billion money market portfolio.

He earned a PhD under a Nobel Laureate from Washington University, an MBA with high honors from the University of Chicago, and a BS with distinction from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
