Watch WCTV6-CBS coverage of Youth Leadership Tallahassee’s “Government & Education Day” sponsored by JMI on Tuesday, October 11. The day-long program featured a number of interactive exercises designed to help students learn more about government, including a mock school board meeting, a gubernatorial game show called, “Bill or No Bill,” and a mock Supreme Court hearing. Among the distinguished guests taking part in this year’s program were State Representatives Michelle Rehwinkle-Vasilinda and Alan Williams, Florida Supreme Court Chief Justice Charles Canady, Judge Nina Ashenafi-Richardson, Judge Terry Lewis, Leon County Commissioners Kristin Dozier and John Dailey, City Commissioner Gil Ziffer, Tallahassee Mayor John Marks and his Chief of Staff Rick Minor,and Leon County School Board Member Maggie Lewis-Butler and Assistant Superintendent Marvin Henderson.
