Competing in the 2011 Florida History Fair held Monday at Tallahassee Community College, Austin Schaeffer of Lincoln High School (Tallahassee) won the JMI “Land of Liberty Award” for his historical paper on the first National Bank .This award is presented to the best student project (essay, exhibit, documentary, or performance) about an immigrant, or group of immigrants, who came to this nation, embraced our founding ideals, and had a major impact on American life.
