Regarding Florida’s  record-high graduation rate of 80.1 percent for the 2010-2011 school year (per the Florida Department of Education):
“The James Madison Institute applauds Florida’s commitment to expanding choice and accountability in our schools. The results of this commitment could not be more clear. The latest improved statewide graduation rates illustrate why parents should continue to have more opportunity and choice in providing an education for their children. Schools should remain accountable to families, not bureaucrats who prefer to protect the old “system” at the expense of the children.”
