Florida is a taxpayer-friendly state. It has no personal income tax. Its relatively modest levels of taxation, together with its favorable climate, have attracted millions of new residents. Moreover, thanks to its low taxes and economic freedom, Florida has prospered, with an unemployment rate consistently below the national average.
