During the last recession, as other states raised taxes to cope with their financial problems, Florida managed to hold the line on taxes and even cut some. Floridians are better off as a result. Now, with an economic recovery underway, revenues are flowing into the state’s coffers much faster than forecast. Governor Bush has proposed to use some of this increased revenue to cut the state’s taxes in strategic places.
