Christie Raniszewski

Christie manages media relations, legislative relations, policy research, communications, and events for the Institute. Prior to joining JMI full-time in January 2003, Christie spent three years as associate conference director for the Cato Institute where she directed all events at Cato and on Capitol Hill.  During the 2000 primary season, Christie was hired as an assistant budget analyst for Steve Forbes’ presidential campaign.

Christie holds an M.S. in Political Science and a B.S. in Communication Studies and Political Science from Florida State University.  As an undergrad at FSU, she served as director of the Institute for Conservative Studies—a free-market lecture series and grassroots organization—and was named one of the nation’s top campus activists by the Young America’s Foundation. Christie was an intern at JMI from 1997-1999.

Her hobbies include traveling, gourmet food/wine, live music, and reading about free-market economics.
